Disappointed that @BBCNews has not covered Carmen Munroe's DBE. It is thoroughly deserved for acting and efforts to promote the work of black British actors. Also she's the 1st Black British Actress to be made a Dame

@acedtect That's Odd. I own a book called Pilot X by Tom Merritt. I find such coincidences suspicious

@jowrotethis I find the history of Brits in Hollywood fascinating. Julian Sands was one of those British actors who went to Hollywood with a tailwind of great UK work. And then, not much. I'd include actors like Michael York, Tim Curry and even Malcom McDowell in the list.

@jowrotethis I trust that you've heard/seen her performance of Like a Rolling Stone from the musical Girl from the North Country. It's a youtube search worth doing

One problem with this play is the vocalisations that are used in the interstitial music. You begin to hear "Bob the builder bob the builder" again and again

I am hoping, in vain no doubt, that at tonight's Theatre, Simon Russell Beale will pay tribute to Alastair Sim (the greatest Scrooge) by sporting ear hair that matches Mr Sim's luxuriant growth. #BridgeTheatre

@jowrotethis It is worth pointing out that Jean Marsh and Eileen Atkins created the popular 70s TV series Upstairs Downstairs (Marsh was in most episodes). In case people haven't seen it, it was a cheaper 70s Downton Abbey. Marsh was also 2 characters in Doctor Who in 60s & 80s
