@educator4ever36 Teachers often just accommodate for everyone, because it becomes too much, especially when dealing with 150-200 kids.

@douglist56 @JamesAFurey It’s required. Many teachers don’t because it’s difficult to teach and the students resist it so much. Then the students AI their work. Avoiding curriculum just to avoid this is not acceptable, though.

@jurlycat @JamesAFurey This is the first year in a very long time (10 years, maybe?) that I have a large group of readers who ask for library time. It brings me to tears. They’re teenagers. 🥺

@educator4ever36 There are lots of problems with MTSS/RTI. Schools need excellent tier 1 instruction. Teachers cannot adequately provide interventions for tier 2 students, and many schools don’t hire interventionists.

@omgsidewalks Yeah. I was yelled at for putting the butter in the fridge. Legit, just cleaning your kitchen after making you dinner. No need to be irrational.

🚨HORRIFIC IDAHO NEWS: A high school boys chat group is threatening a female student with worse atrocities than those committed at Cornell. We have an epistemic problem. Apparently, we need harsher sentences and laws for pond scum like this.

@bylenasun @emzorbit It’s impossible to get the flu from the shot. It’s a dead virus. However, you can still catch the flu, but with milder symptoms.

@XiJinpingThot69 @misshteaches4 Having your eval based on 20 min. by someone who doesn't know your specialty is not an adequate picture of your talent in your field.

@mwanga_24 @misshteaches4 I think the problem is that it's a small snapshot. I would love it if admin came in more often than once every 3 years.

@misshteaches4 So other professions have someone essentially standing over your shoulder for 20 minutes every 3 years and basing the eval heavily on that 20 min?

The last 24 hours of news as a woman: - A man jacks off to the woman next to him on a plane. United makes her return to her seat. - 7 frat boys drug and gang rape a student for hours, and advertise “free p*ssy” to their frat. Cornell makes them write essays. - A football player rapes a student. LSU reduces his suspension. - A teen boy stalks and stabs a girl 10 times. Courts grant only a restraining order. - Brendan Carr spent 9 years in a cult raping teen girls. Trump made him FCC Chair.
