BREAKING: Niagara Falls City Council passes motion to support #BasicIncome "In the past, the concept of a basic income has been perceived as a partisan solution — we need to change that... The fact is that many respected conservative thinkers have advocated for it. It should be a non-partisan solution" - Councillor @LoriLococo who introduced the motion Niagara Falls Mayor @jimdiodati voted in favour to break a tie, allowing this motion to pass! Hamilton now joins at least 22 other municipalities across Canada that have supported basic income at the provincial or federal levels, including Halifax, Moncton, Fredericton, St. John’s, and the Union of British Columbia Municipalities, as well as the Hamilton and Thunder Bay chambers of commerce.

@ubi_works No need for research! Enough data is already available. Calling on the federal government to implement it like they have the OAS program. It's much more efficient & effective than the very costly patch work of programs we now have. Huge savings from the administration cost alone.
@ubi_works 500k refugees per year, they are going to need $$$ and houses.
