@BruckelJeffrey Just confused about when statins should be started in edge cases like these! I’m a med student so apologize for learning gaps.
@BruckelJeffrey I was taught that anyone over >45 with T2DM should likely be on a statin for 1° prev but recently encountered a pt on one of my outpatient rotations with ACSVD ~ 13%. However their LDL was very low and statins weren’t started. Aren’t LDL levels not as relevant in this case?
