@ducksays So bummed we had 6.29 in March and just bought at 6.79. Still much better than 7.19 of right now! We can pay $4k to get it to 6.19 but also we can refi at anytime for only $495. Just hoping we can refi at some point in the next few years which is starting to look doubtful.

Indian immigration is a lot like the boomer college problem. Boomers saw that people with a college degree did well in life, not thinking about a relatively important filter that sorted people with traits that helped them do well from people who wouldn’t. They removed the filter to get more people into college. We got a ton of people with a lot of college debt and not much else. When immigration levels from India were low, there was a filter for a type of person who is driven and works hard. We were skimming from the top. But people said, wow, these Indian workers are great, they seem to work hard and contribute well, let’s go find some more. But when you say, open borders, or build organizations to facilitate immigration you’re removing that filter. You’re no longer getting the cream from the top, you’re brining over increasing numbers of the billions of people who aren’t all that remarkable and bring in the issues of different cultures. We actually do know what that ends up looking like.

Nobody I hate more than people who dislike Indian immigration. Anti-Indian hate is the low human capital singularity. You've got racism, socialism, economic illiteracy, victimhood and grievance culture, basically everything disgusting in the world. It's my litmus test.
