building brimlight, my macbook notch but useful: music, calendar, claude code asks me up there. first 100 get it free for lifebrimlight.gjinprelvukaj.comJoined October 2023
@attacomsian@orendev_ Activity Monitor shows everything and answers nothing. The useful version is one number you can read in a glance. Which one ended up first in Vitals, cpu or memory pressure
@ClaudeDevs The report back part is where these jobs usually fall over. A long run that finishes while youre in another window only helps if you find out. Does a finished Task ping you outside the chat or only show up when you come back to it
@not_sacke Same. Its looked up when the app runs, not linked, so if Apple drops it you just get the arrow back and nothing breaks. Ice and Mac Mouse Fix lean on the same one so im not alone at least
@jarredsumner The idle part is where it adds up. A session waiting on you for a permission should cost close to nothing, and with a few open at once that is most of the time. Does AOT help the waiting case or mostly startup and busy work
@tong0x@concorsdev Once they run somewhere else the next problem is knowing which one is stuck waiting on you. Does a permission prompt on the cloud machine reach you somewhere you already look, or do you check the tab
@oiharshit The what i promised part is the one that matters, notes get kept and commitments get forgotten. Does it pick the promises up from the call itself or do you tag them as you go
@sebuzdugan Okay a CSV export and JSON to paste are the two where printing the result is the whole task, so the request itself pulls toward console.log. Id bet the rule loses there no matter where it lives
@yongfook Springs are the one place this really pays off. A still frame never tells you which one feels right, you have to touch it, so twelve live variants side by side beats any description of the motion
@ThomasKanze Switching by the 5 hour number alone can catch you out when the weekly one is closer to the end. Does Quotchi show both or just whichever is tighter
@SemiAnalysis_ Percent of the limit alone cant show this, a busy day looks the same. Tokens per 1% of the weekly limit can. I have my notch app compare this week against the month before for exactly this reason
@not_sacke Thats wild, 52 minutes with nobody steering and it still kept finding things to fix. Was that Claude Code with a browser tool or something else
