hourly gpu prices are only useful when you know what machine and resources they cover. read the listing details alongside the headline rate.

a useful first ai tool doesn't need to do everything. pick one repeated task. make its input clear. make its result easy to check.

compute without the overhead. for coldboot, that starts with explaining the job before the jargon.

a model can produce a fluent answer that is wrong. for facts that matter, check the source. fluency is not evidence.

try the same task with a few examples before deciding whether an ai feature works. one good answer is a start, not a test set.

the product should explain its limits where you meet them. a disabled action deserves a plain reason.

context is the material a model can use for a request. if you want a summary of your notes, the model needs the notes. it cannot infer the file sitting on your desktop.

a gpu listing is an offer. a running rental is a machine you can use. those are separate steps. coldboot's rental step is still being wired up.

a shorter answer is sometimes the better result. tell the model the format you need: three bullets, one sentence, a short list.

coldboot brings ai inference and gpu compute into the same product direction. the goal is a clearer starting point for people who are new to both.

latency is the wait between making a request and getting a response. for a chat app, that wait is part of the experience.

a price needs a unit. per hour, per request and per token describe different things. put the unit beside the number.

a prompt is the instruction you send to a model. 'summarize this for someone new to the topic' gives it a clearer job than 'make this better'.

tokens are the pieces of text a language model reads and writes. they can be words, parts of words or punctuation. a token count is not a word count.

gpu memory is the working space a model needs while it runs. a model that doesn't fit needs a different setup. the gpu's name alone won't tell you everything.
