Flynt @useflynt

Before Opay. Before Moniepoint. Before PalmPay. There was FlashMeCash. In 2002, Nigeria wasn't ready for fintech. There were no smartphones, no mobile apps, no digital banks and no QR codes. This was almost two decades before the fintech boom we know today. While the rest of the market was focused on traditional banking, someone was already imagining a future where money could move through a mobile device. That is the gap Flynt closes — between the speed of your transactions and the speed of your decisions. Source: NIBSS, 2024

In 2024, Nigeria's NIBSS instant payment system processed over $1 trillion in transactions. One trillion dollars. Moving in real time. Generating signals with every single transfer. #NigeriaFintech #PaymentInfrastructure #RealTimeDecisions #FintechAfrica #Flynt

And the majority of institutions processing those transactions are still making risk decisions from yesterday's data. Batch reports. End-of-day summaries. Monthly reviews. The transactions are instant. The intelligence is not.

That is the gap Flynt closes. Not by replacing what you’ve built. By making it smarter.

And most of it is being wasted. The infrastructure exists. The users exist. The data exists. What most platforms are missing is the layer that reads it — that turns transaction volume into financial intelligence.

Getting users to sign up is the easy part. Keeping them engaged — making your platform feel relevant to their actual financial life — is the hard part. And the only way to do that is to understand their behaviour. Not in aggregate. Not in monthly reports. In real time. #Flynt

Ghana had 72.98 million registered mobile money accounts in 2024. Only 23.49 million were active. That means roughly 1 in 3 registered accounts was actually being used. This is not a Ghana problem. It is an industry problem. #UserRetention #FintechProduct

But they do transact. They receive money. They spend. They have patterns. And patterns are signals. UnderbankedMarket #Flynt

Financial inclusion in Africa sits at 43%. That means over half of the continent's 1.18 billion people have no formal financial home. Flynt reads those signals. That is where inclusion actually starts. Source: EIB Finance in Africa, 2024 #FinancialInclusion #FintechAfrica

That is not a gap. That is the single largest untapped market in the world. The barrier to serving them is not appetite — it is data. Most of these individuals have no credit history. No bureau record. No traditional financial footprint.

Today we celebrate the worker. Every day we build for them. #Flynt

Happy International Workers' Day. To the ones who clock in early. Who hustle through the month. Who send money home, pay bills on time, and keep things moving even when it's tight. You are the economy. Happy Workers' Day. #WorkersDay #FintechAfrica #FinancialInclusion #Flynt

In 2020, there were 450 fintech companies operating across Africa. By the start of 2024, that number had grown to 1,263. Nearly tripled in four years. #FintechAfrica #DigitalBanking #FinancialIntelligence #Flynt

That's not a trend. That's a structural shift.  Every one of those 1,263 companies is competing for the same users your platform serves. The ones pulling ahead aren't bigger. They're smarter about the data they already have Is your platform keeping up?
