While many states are establishing emergency care “for” first responders, Virginia was the first I’ve seen to rightfully acknowledge that child care providers are serving “as first responders.” So true. Thank you @VDSS @FirstLadyVA dss.virginia.gov/cc/covid-19-do…

In an attempt to #FlattenTheCurve, child care programs across the country have closed. Yet, many #childcare providers will never reopen unless Congress decides to #FundChildCare with $50 billion in the emergency stimulus bill!

Child care is an essential service and without it, we would not be able to effectively respond to the #COVIDー19 pandemic. However, without $50 billion in emergency stimulus funding, the #childcare industry will collapse. Congress, #FundChildCare because we need #childcareNow!
