@kaiostephens @turnkit @_137035999 I don’t think that’s entirely true. If you wanna run large MoE models you need a lot of ram to load them but after that only a fraction of the total parameters are active at a time so even though it wouldn’t be as fast as the APIs it should be usable, especially on M3 Ultra.

@paulg @cperciva In cases like that what's more important to assess first, technical feasibility or market need?

@anshuldhir_ @garrytan Gaps are inevitable, everyone’s ability is different. What this would do is prevent people at one side from being disadvantaged due to the other.

The ability to research anything you need is one of the most essential skills and puts you ahead of most. With AI tools like @perplexity_ai it's easier than ever, so no reason to say "don't know" or "can't do" something. There's always a way if you're willing to try and learn.

People often clown on prompt engineering but it’s one of the most important skills when building AI agents. You are literally engineering behavior with language to tell the LLM exactly what/how/when it should or shouldn’t do smth. People working on nontrivial agentic systems probably agree. Making ChatGPT write your homework isn’t prompt engineering.
