to everyone who had a problem with lebron james during the national anthem, make sure you go after Jokic as well for literally doing the same thing! Or do you just expect black men to be patriotic?

Calling all AI safety researchers. We’re inviting a small group to explore Dessa, our model trained on speech alone, and help us understand what it can and can’t do. We’d love to hear from you: block.xyz/dessa

We made the first AI model you can have a realistic conversation with that was trained entirely on speech! Dessa is a full-duplex speech-to-speech model that you can run on consumer GPUs. This is a GPT3 moment for speech.

@jack training on speech alone and getting the timing and emotion right is the part everyone else skipped. this is the direction voice should have gone from the start.

Maybe important to repost this now that everyone is getting hacked If you have a VPS, I recommend you to get if off the public internet and into a Tailscale network and Cloudflare Tunnel ASAP It doesn't matter you have SSH key login, this is about exploits and vulnerabilities AI is finding There's 2 ways into a VPS: - via your site/app (like the PHP exploit of this week with a file upload hack) - via your server (like hacking into SSH or some open port) The site/app side you put on a Cloudflare Tunnel and then with the default Free Plan it has WAF security enabled by default and they jump on new security exploits fast, it means that the only way to reach your website is via the Cloudflare Tunnel, your server does not respond to port 80 or 443 anymore The server side you put on a Tailscale network which is like your own private network that nobody can access but your own devices (like your laptop, your phone and your VPS) kinda like a VPN Then you switch off ANY regular access to your VPS on the firewall, in my case I use Hetzner and you create a new firewall then empty it and that blocks everything (test it) How do Tailscale and Cloudflare Tunnel get in then? They don't. They go outbound. They make a tunnel to outside which sends and receives Now you've reduced your attack vector to Tailscale and your Cloudflare Tunnel, much safer, not perfect btw, but nothing is

Non-US founder? This is your shortcut to Silicon Valley. The Bridge is an 8-week residency in San Francisco. • 50 non-US founders • One house • $250K for the best teams • Free compute + a hardware lab • Access to top Bay Area advisors and investors • Three healthy meals a day The best part: you can show up pre-idea and pre-team. Most leave with a co-founder, a vision, first customers and a seed round. It's part of Entrepreneur First, whose backers include the Collison brothers, Demis Hassabis, Reid Hoffman, Nat Friedman and Eric Schmidt. You don't need to live in SF to build there. You need 8 weeks. Bookmark this + tag a founder outside the US.
