New conference room and small offices, built with mud/straw and limestone cover, upstairs covered by thatched palm leaf. Comfortable even on a hot day. I love it so much I have made it my office!

Our elites look down on faith, indeed any sort of religious display or imagery at all. They celebrate being rootless. Hollywood made and promoted trash is the substitute for cultural roots. That path lies misery and a soul crushing atomized culture. Embrace your roots! 🙏

Rural India, despite so much poverty, offers a sense of belonging and rootedness. The result is low crime. The reason is traditional religious faith. Even as we lift ourselves up economically, I want to nurture the roots of our culture and the faith that sustains life. 🙏

We can have strong convictions and stick to them without being confrontational or insulting. Sound convictions combined with humility in our interactions and actions is a good approach to the world. The opposite of that is conviction-free confrontation where ego dominates.🙏🙏

1/ On the subject of exams and grades. For kids coming in with very low self-esteem, as most poor rural kids do, exams just serve to confirm their already low feelings of self-worth. I can identify with it because I used to battle these emotions as a kid.
