Chandrayaan-3 Mission: 🇮🇳Vikram soft-landed on 🌖, again! Vikram Lander exceeded its mission objectives. It successfully underwent a hop experiment. On command, it fired the engines, elevated itself by about 40 cm as expected and landed safely at a distance of 30 – 40 cm away. Importance?: This 'kick-start' enthuses future sample return and human missions! All systems performed nominally and are healthy. Deployed Ramp, ChaSTE and ILSA were folded back and redeployed successfully after the experiment. #Chandrayaan_3 #Ch3

Chandrayaan-3 Mission: Anaglyph is a simple visualization of the object or terrain in three dimensions from stereo or multi-view images. The Anaglyph presented here is created using NavCam Stereo Images, which consist of both a left and right image captured onboard the Pragyan Rover. In this 3-channel image, the left image is positioned in the red channel, while the right image is placed in the blue and green channels (creating cyan). The difference in perspective between these two images results in the stereo effect, which gives the visual impression of three dimensions. Red & Cyan glasses are recommended for viewing in 3D NavCam was developed by LEOS / ISRO. Data Processing is carried out by SAC / ISRO

Happy 192nd Birthday to James C. Maxwell, one of the most brilliant minds in the history of science. James Clerk Maxwell was a Scottish physicist, renowned for his pioneering work in the field of electromagnetism. His most significant contribution was the formulation of the classical theory of electromagnetic radiation, which combined electricity, magnetism, and light into a unified theory. This was done through the development of Maxwell's equations, a set of partial differential equations that describe how electric and magnetic fields interact. The equations predict the existence of electromagnetic waves, which travel at the speed of light, and were fundamental in confirming that light is a form of electromagnetic radiation. Beyond electromagnetism, Maxwell made significant contributions to the kinetic theory of gases, with Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution providing insight into the statistical nature of molecular behavior. His work in these areas laid the groundwork for much of modern physics, influencing the development of special relativity and quantum mechanics.
