just rewatched the full championship game again, a few things about yaxel: 1) fresh off of ankle injury, hence he wasn’t as aggressive as prev games 2) started off the game jacking stupid threes, but once teammate talked some sense into him in Q2, began playing more physically (eg. sealing off smaller defenders in transition), great esp against smaller UCONN team overall, yaxel > aday > morez however, still not fully convinced that he will be able to play as secondary ball handler (as stated in Warriors interview): he picks up his dribble way too early, but his drive-and-kick’s draw a lot of attention.

starting to lose hope in intriguingly tall center prospects (despite being high on Mara) i think a modern non-negotiable for championship teams is a decently mobile big against switch hunting + space out the floor (KAT, Horford, Chet, etc.)
