There are versions of you that only exist around certain people. Something in their energy brings out parts of you that would have remained untouched. That’s the beauty of connection, you get reintroduced to parts of ourselves we never knew were there.
I love me like I love my siblings man. He get on my nerves, sometimes I’ll call him ugly but nobody got his back more than I do. I’m proud asf of him and would not wanna be anyone else.
So the thing I keep thinking about is.. Was it worth it to be happy for a little bit, even though it ended up sad? Or would it have been better if the whole thing never happened?
Love isn’t a coping mechanism or an obsession. It’s the central vein of our existence because so much of what makes life worth living is our connections, intimacy, belonging & even grief that inevitably will follow, it all comes back to our capacity to love.
You can never ever be co dependent on a person for love, happiness and self worth. You must learn how to give that to yourself & know that it will be okay in the end.
