Well, I might as well stir the pot regarding the Baffert situation..... and everything I write is in my opinion. @GateToWire @TomRyanKY @BillFinley3 I am certain that his horses will dominate the fields they face AFTER the Derby and for the rest of the year. I was a little surprised that @ChurchillDowns @garypaljr gave him an extra year on the penalty but EVERYONE knows my opinion on Baffert by now so I'm not shedding a tear for him. I believe that Churchill extended the transfer date to 30 days earlier because they know that the longer his horses are away from him the worse they do. IMO Whatever he uses wears off with time and the 30 days early thing was to directly address that. It's obvious to me that he won't give up his secret even to a guy like Yakteen who worked for him and has known him for decades. The Owners know that their horses won't perform well transferring early so they're not running their horses who probably wouldn't run winning races anyway under another Trainer. They could say it's out of loyalty but I'm not buying it at all. I'll be using ALL his horses in the big 3YO races after the Derby for sure.
@racetrackandy @GateToWire @TomRyanKY @BillFinley3 You don’t think the extension played any part as to the loyalty of the owners? Maybe the owners are pissed at CDI as well for extending it.
If you believe he’s using some sort of EPO or whatever the extra 30 days out of his barn makes a huge difference. Churchill knows that and that’s why they moved up the transfer date IMO. The loyalty angle makes some sense but the fact that the longer they’re out of his barn the worse they do makes more sense to me. IMO he is the Lance Armstrong of racing
@racetrackandy @Pounds1984 @GateToWire @BillFinley3 Totally agree, #Messier & #Taiba superior to #MedinaSpirit, had they ran before the positive, easily 1-2 i keep telling my brother, Bob not a real doper but gives meds to help them rebound from hard races, Messier can’t recover, Taiba struggle, Adare Manor took a year to rebound
