We tend to overcomplicate what it means to have great product sense. To put it simply: you can look at a screen and intuitively predict the percent of users who will convert to the next screen within a 10% margin of error.

Well said Hunter. A critical thing to look for is impact at a company. Did they actually accomplish something meaningful / build and grow something substantive at the company, something other people can point to and say the person owned this. And it’s hard to do so in 2 yrs.
