@drivelinekyle I did a statcast search for similar batted balls over the last 3 years (48-50, 105-108) 25 results 1 went over 350 feet (366' which was an out) Only 1 hit, a HR that went 347 feet I think it's more than likely this would have resulted in an out, but can't definitively say

@LaInaMinute This game is in the conversation for best regular season game of all time for all of MLB. Current Dodger dynasty has produced incredible postseason moments, but this hasn't been topped in the regular season.

This is such a tired take. Clearly Harper and Soto were never stars in, checks notes, the nation's capital. Maybe if his team wasn't 13 games back he would get more pub.

If CJ Abrams was putting up these type of numbers on a team in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, etc., his face and name would be plastered all over ESPN, FOX, etc. He is an absolute superstar.

@calpostbbolch This is something I have talked about. But why only transferring from mid major to P4? Why not all transfers? I'm pro player, but right now they are getting paid and being able to transfer whatever they want, they can't have it both ways

@calpostbbolch Big 10 schedule makes no sense Illinois and now Nebraska come to LA for 2, but UCLA has a road game before returning home to play Illinois and Nebraska

@PVMoe I miss pitchers hitting and having to throw 4 balls for an IBB Going back farther, you can throw '80s collusion and drug use/Pittsburgh Drug Trials as other things that did not end up ruining baseball.

@latbbolch Impressive that there were that many UCLA fans in attendance to voice their displeasure

The first time you watch Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, it's a comedy, but every subsequent viewing it's a tragedy

@lmc055 But at that point, you don't need another good year. You can reject the QO and then sign a longer contract. Accepting the QO is putting more pressure on you to repeat another good year (more factors involved in accepting the QO).

#OTD in 1970, the Oregon Highway Division consulted with the U.S. Navy and decided the best way to dispose of a whale carcass was to blow it up with a 1/2 ton of dynamite. The explosion caused blubber to rain down on spectators for over a 1/4 of a mile. The TV segment is classic.

@emmabaccellieri All those Clase pitches, including the one to Pages, were making the rounds weeks ago. But also, if that pitch to Pages was supposed to be an intentional ball, it was terribly executed. Started at the bottom of the zone before falling off the table.
