You might notice a milky or hazy look to the sky today. Light amounts of smoke are moving in this morning and will be hanging out through the day. But the smoke will be staying in the upper levels of the atmosphere which means we are NOT expecting any impacts to our air quality!
Don't forget a jacket as you head out the door this morning, its FROSTY! Temperatures are near and even below freezing in some places, so frost is likely. The frost advisory for the Adirondacks, far northeastern Vermont, and parts of northern New Hampshire continues until 8am.
We're tracking patchy frost possible tonight with temperatures in some locations dropping into the low-to-mid 30s! Hopefully you're a fan of this mild and sunny weather because we'll get a lot of it the rest of the week.
You might notice a milky look to the sky tomorrow. Light amounts of smoke will be filtering into our region overnight. The good news is that we are not expecting the smoke to have any impact on our air quality because it will stay in the upper atmosphere.
We finally got some much-needed rainfall! Here in Burlington over the past few days we've had 1.77" of rain. This is 0.11" more than the total precipitation for last month! But we're entering another dry spell this week with no chance of measurable rain through this week.
Fall is that you?!? Saranac Lake got down to 32° this morning. This is the first time in 97 days they have been at or below freezing. Tonight looks to be another frosty night for some.
Take a look at the Full Corn Moon visible earlier this morning from our SkyWatch3 Camera in Derby! The full moon occurred yesterday and was visible all night. If you missed it, the moon will still be very bright tonight with about 97% still illuminated.
A Frost Advisory has been issued for tomorrow morning for the areas shaded in blue. Cold temperatures are expected overnight tonight into tomorrow morning that could damage vulnerable plants.
Patchy dense fog is likely tonight, so allow extra time heading to work early Monday morning. The rest of the day will be mostly sunny with highs in the 60s. A very dry stretch of weather is expected this week and right into next weekend. #VT
Today will be generally mostly cloudy, though a few light showers are possible in northern sections during the afternoon. Highs will be in the 60s to low 70s. A prolonged dry stretch is in store for the week, prolonging the drought. #VT

Some beneficial rain will move through today, mainly into mid-afternoon, then exit to the east. A thunderstorm or two can't be ruled out near the Brattleboro area. It will be a cooler day with highs mainly in the 60s. #VT
We're tracking a soggy Saturday with some downpours especially in the Upper Valley. Here's where to expect a few thunderstorms that could be on the stronger side.
We finally got a decent soaking rain last night, especially through the Champlain Valley and west into the Adirondacks. And another cold front will roll through tomorrow bringing more beneficial rainfall. But then next week we'll be cool and dry again.
Sunshine emerging today, before a second round of rain arrives for tomorrow.
In the last 24 hours we've seen between a trace and about an inch of rain. The highest rainfall totals are to the west of and through the Champlain Valley. And the majority of tomorrow's rainfall looks like it will mostly be to the south and east of the Champlain Valley.
Most of the rain has moved off to our east this morning, but there are still a few lingering showers in our region. Those lingering showers will dry up this morning and the sunshine will be returning today. Then more rain is on the way for tomorrow.
