#TheBigHelpOut this year is focused on supporting causes close to my heart - the cancer charities. As a cancer survivor, I know first hand the difference they make. When I lost both my grandmothers to cancer, the care they provided was invaluable. Join in #TheBigHelpOut 👇🏻

@wesstreeting @wesstreeting, all charity is a failure of government. Healthcare is a govt responsibility because it is a natural monopoly. End private healthcare, renationalise it. End charities. Cancer Research is the biggest charity in the UK but should be a govt sponsored initiative
@wesstreeting If it’s that close to you why are you not campaigning for cancer services (including charities) to be fully publicly funded ? Excluding the necessity for voluntary contributions.
@wesstreeting Investment in the NHS brings us £4 in economic growth for every £1 spent - why not fund this support properly as part of the nhs instead of relying on volunteers and charities?
@wesstreeting A far more worthy cause than the Tufton Street charities. How to hell are they allowed to get away with that status?
@wesstreeting Charities are a failure of government as you are a failure of politics
@wesstreeting Hi Wes. I have stage 4 peritoneal mesothelioma from exposure to asbestos which takes 10yrs + to develop. I’m desperately worried that the crumbling raac will contain asbestos. Pls make this a priority if you win. It will cost millions in compensation. Jane hunt has been brill.
@wesstreeting This should be supported by the government under the NHS. Will a government under Starmer publicly fund these organisations? No. But you will sell off life saving services to the health care provider who bungs you the right amount of dosh. You are nothing more than a hypocrite.
