How in the hell does a living wage “hurt people in my state?” Do they even realize how that sounds? How does increasing the minimum wage, lifting people out of poverty, so that they can spend more money with you “hurt people in my state?”🙄🙄#MorningJoe
@whatifisaidit It will clearly open the way for corporate shops. The mom and pop will be no more.
@whatifisaidit they mean business - but honestly increasing the minimum wage to a living wage WILL mean that local businesses prosper because the money is going to peoples immediate needs - the #GOPTaxScam brought no dollars home - all the money went ot yachts villas and stock buyback
@whatifisaidit A living wage will "hurt people in my state". Do they not realize what an unlivable wage does?
@whatifisaidit It would hurt the bottom line for those who pay wages. Isn’t that the issue for them? Price stability is indeed an issue. Everybody is looking to get ahead and times are tough. My only squawk is about fairness of the response.
@whatifisaidit It hurts businesses...that is what they are referencing and worried about.
@whatifisaidit The richest will make less profits off the minimum wage workers. We can’t have that with trickle down economics, you know how making the rich richer benefits the poor working class! Reagonomics 101.
@whatifisaidit Dems need to start messaging. The people overwhelmingly support this. I wish every time Biden is on tv he ask republicans, If you’re not here to help your constituents, what are you here for? Then keep hammering this message until their constituents start asking the same.
@whatifisaidit It 'hurts' the employers in their states, those who couldn't care less about whether their employees are struggling, and want profits over paying a living wage.
@whatifisaidit A mimimal wage protects all of society which must underwrite the deficiency created when businesses cannot exist without underpaying employees. Someone paid $7.50 only survives because society makes up the difference in what they need. That's not capitalism. That's serfdom.
