@breakoutprop $20 eval sounds great until a max-size BTC/Nasdaq round trip costs about $40 in fees. That’s over 25% of the entire $150 drawdown gone just getting in and out of one trade. And you need $450 to pass. What’s my excuse? The maths, maybe.
@BearOnWindows95 Poorly written rage bait. “Nobody can teach you how to trade” is such an obviously weak absolute that it kills whatever point you were trying to make.
@Patrickwieland @VestExchange @onlypropfirms “Promote now, due diligence later” is exactly how traders get burned. If you haven’t finished checking them out, why are you already sending people there?
@fredtrades Isn’t this just basic prop trading maths? If you’re buying evals regularly, surely you should already know your total spend, pass rate, account survival and payouts.
@MattLeech @TritonTrades Amazing how quickly an existing product becomes “revolutionary” once there’s a new affiliate code to push.
@TritonTrades Amazing how existing products become invisible when there’s a new affiliate code to push.
@ajtradinglucid This is exactly why prop comparison sites need to disclose how they make money. Asking firms for affiliate deals and giveaway accounts is fine. Pretending you’re independent while doing it is the problem.
@nehal_rm1 @TakeProfitLLC Fair play for posting the receipts. If you stayed within the rules they gave you, I don’t think you should be framed as the problem because their live allocation model didn’t like the outcome.
@TakeProfitLLC @PropJournalist @nehal_rm1 They traded within TPT’s rules, took $67K in payouts, and TPT now says the problem is they weren’t profitable in the live market. If that behaviour is unacceptable, change the rules or the allocation. Don’t blame the trader for using the product you designed.
This is the number I wish more prop traders posted. $34,161 withdrawn $19,882 spent on prop firms $14,279 net Payout screenshots are useful. Payouts minus the cost of getting them are much more useful. Fair play for actually showing both sides.
Calculated my all time Prop Firm Expenses and I've Spent a grand Total of $19,882 on prop firms Now IK everyone is curious how much I've been able to withdraw... I have withdrawn after profit split money thats hit my bank $34,161 So after expenses I've net $14,279 Day Trading
@DiegoBTrades Fair play for posting the spend as well as the payouts. Most people only show the $34K and leave out the nearly $20K it cost to get there. Which firm has given you the best return on what you spent with them?
@fundingpips $100K for $99 sounds great until you look at what you’re actually buying. $3K trailing drawdown. $1K daily hard breach. $5K target. And the “daily rewards” don’t even unlock until you’re +$3K. It’s basically a $3K risk account wearing a $100K badge.
@fredtrades Where has Lucid actually announced this? I can find reports that the 50K Flex No DLL price is going up Sunday, but no official announcement or new price. If people “need to take action before 5 PM”, what’s the source and what’s the actual increase?
@MyFundedFutures Worth knowing what “sold out” means here. Studio #003 has a daily purchase cap and availability resets after 00:00 ET. So three sell-outs means it hit that daily cap three days running, not that the plan itself has sold out.
@Tradeify Small but important caveat for anyone outside the US: finishing top 4 doesn’t guarantee you a Grand Final spot. You need valid US travel authorisation. If you can’t travel, Tradeify moves you to 5th and the final spot passes down.
@Topstep The bit that stands out isn’t the $25K payout , it’s the 2-month break after the $22K loss. Most traders try to win it back the next day.
@Mujibtrades @Topstep @dotjosh @TopstepTV That 2-month break is probably the most interesting part of this. What actually changed when you came back — position size, daily loss limit, number of trades, or something else?
Easier to pass ≠ easier to trade funded. Alpha Standard vs Advanced is a good example. The cheaper, easier eval isn’t necessarily the account you’d rather have after you pass.
Cheapest eval ≠ cheapest route to funded. Topstep 50K is a good example. The $49 option can cost more overall than the $95 option, depending on how quickly you pass.
Which 50K account should we put through the same comparison next?
A “$50K” prop account can give you anywhere from $650 to $3,000 of actual drawdown. Same headline account size. Completely different product. Compare the risk you’re actually buying, not the number in the name.
