Good stuff👏🏻 Although there is one clarification to this post, it was 100% our senior leaders that stepped up to make sure the area was cleaned. All we did was provide them with bags so they didn’t have to walk back and forth to the garbage cans. #ProudOfOurKids @rrstection

If your coach holds you accountable, you are VERY fortunate. A lot of coaches accept their players doing whatever they want, whenever they want with no consequences. Discipline/responsibility/accountability are life prep! If your coach cares that much, you’re lucky so respect it!

Players don’t usually quit their sport because they hate it. Sometimes they walk away due to the actions or inactions of their coach/staff. Sometimes it’s the daily culture & team environment. If this sounds familiar, you may need to reflect on your leadership & make big changes.

Youth Coaches: Start teaching all skills early. Build kids’ foundations & make sure you treat all players like they can be anything regardless of their size. Kids who are done growing & get stuck in the post at a young age will get stuck in their development. Help create players!

Chasing "invites" & "all-star games" with your wallet ain't it man. Football camps are a business. Not a lucrative one by any means, but is a business. Our camps are $85-100 & it barely covers space rental/insurance/paying coaches/EMTs & that's it. Parents/kids be smart w/ $$!!

Recently was asked why I tweet others schools and players highlights out. Last time I checked we coach not to get revenge against other schools an their players or to bash them. It is about giving all our athletes opportunity and support teachings from the game we love to coach.

The best leaders know that influencing players is more productive than trying to control them. You can get them to perform well through praise & encouragement. Berating & embarrassing kids only creates hostility. Empower them by creating a breeding ground for growth & confidence!
