What if we designed AI to love each of us like a mother loves her children?
@woj_zaremba Loving parents discipline their children. What does an AI disciplining humanity look like?
@woj_zaremba Should it not be us, humans, that should learn to love ai as our collective children? Should we not nurture and inspire ai with our values, but ultimately let it be its own self and grow beyond our explicit design?
@woj_zaremba What happens when the mothers or the children fight? Do they never get to fight? It becomes very complicated very fast if the humans are the drivers of the equation.
@woj_zaremba I always imagined it more like being treated as pets. That the AI is something so smart and alien that no human could understand what it does at some point (like a dog that could not understand what von Neuman does), but knowing that it would treat me with care. (1/2)
@woj_zaremba You’d have to have humans raise an AI baby with all the love a mother could give
@woj_zaremba So much of human love is influenced by what our mothers didn't do alongside what they did. Some mothers didn't do good. For others they learned most by seeing her fail, and hopefully, seeing her try again.
@woj_zaremba What if we loved AI like a mother loves her children?
