TIP: One of the most popular indoor ivy plants is pothos, not porthos or prothos. I actually thought it had an "r" before the "t" until recently, but then I didn't have a pothos until recently.

I'm noticing respected writers starting to use the #oxfordcomma -- which was out of fashion when I learned to write. I think it's redundant and often stops the reader dead in their tracks. Can you tell me why it's coming back?
