Introducing base support for New Zealand METARs, wxdecoder.com (NZAA, NZWN, NZCH). Please send any bugs/feature requests my way :)
Putting the finishing touches on NZ METAR support.
... meaning that different countries can have decoder plugins written specifically for them. Next step, writing the one for NZ METARs.
Multi-country feature progress update: can now detect the country (NZ & US only for now) and switch to a country-specific decoder...
One more treat for tonight, Wind Direction & Speed description now live :)
A few more meddling UI quirks now fixed. Little fixes & improvements start to add up. Plus more work on the NZ decoders. Watch this space.

(..and thanks to the latest wee bug fix, I can now decode both).
Know the diff between CLR and SKC? SKC's usually human & indicates clear, CLR's usually auto and below 12,000'. And now we can parse both.

Update: couple of usability tweaks, a few more on the way. Plus additional Remarks decoders in the pipeline for later this week.
Little hiccup there for METARs without the hourly temp/dewpoint remark. All fixed now :)
Check out the latest -- added Weather Phenomena and Hourly Temp & Dewpoint decoders, and a few other UI tidyups.
Added description tooltips for info about the details of a particular METAR item. Live now for Airport ID, Date/Time, & 'AUTO', more coming.
Getting to the really useful stuff now: adding descriptions (general, and specific to each METAR), and links to more information.
Quick update over lunch, added sea level pressure and station type to UI, and a few other tidy-ups.
REST API update: can now decode 'sea level pressure' and 'station type' remarks, will be added to the UI this week.
Still very much in the early stages, but with an exciting roadmap. Here's what's on the way...
