A ship navigating the ocean will encounter waves, strong winds, and unpredictable weather. But these conditions do not necessarily prevent it from reaching its destination, because the captain understands the journey, trusts the navigation system, and knows that turbulence is part of the voyage. Trading works the same way. After thorough preparation, testing, and validation of a trading system, you already understand that losing streaks and winning streaks are both possible outcomes of your edge. You do not abandon the voyage because the waves become rough, nor do you become overconfident when the winds favour you. You remain committed to the process because you understand the probabilities behind it. The objective is not to win every trade, just as the objective of a captain is not to avoid every wave. It is to navigate the uncertainty without losing sight of the destination. Consistency is the discipline to trust a tested process through its inevitable fluctuations, knowing that if you execute your edge faithfully over a sufficient sample of trades, the mathematical advantage you have established has the opportunity to express itself in profitability. A trader's job is ultimately not to win the trade right in front of him, but to consistently execute a thoroughly tested rule set with a genuine edge.

In trading, Until the trade is closed by the system, nothing is yours. The instant unrealized profit becomes personal property in your mind, holding a winner becomes painful. Then, adhering to the exit rule is like watching your own money vanish. Redefines what is yours and be free.

In trading, also in life, do not prioritize feeling good right now. What you should prioritize is long-term consistency. Compromising your consistency to relieve immediate pain, or to escape from suffering, therefore making you feel better right now will cost you too much.
