Jodie Foster on Gen Z: “They’re really annoying, especially in the workplace. They’re like, ‘Nah, I’m not feeling it today, I’m gonna come in at 10.30am.’ Or in emails, I’ll tell them this is all grammatically incorrect, did you not check your spelling? And they’re like, ‘Why would I do that, isn’t that kind of limiting?’” via @guardian

@yashar It’s funny because I feel her, but I also feel them. I’m just down with people marching to the beat of their own drum I guess.
@yashar A voice for the people! Just imagine how she’d really feel if she worked an office job where Gen Z sometimes quits their jobs bc the vibes are off or the starter salary isn’t 3 figures.
@yashar You can see almost this exact criticism of Gen Xers in 1994's Reality Bites delivered by Joe Don Baker. And believe me, the hippy generation were not exactly considered a bunch of go getters. Foster is getting older and was a child actor
@yashar @BullyMaus A boomer complaining about another generation's grammar and spelling in emails is, just, top notch.
@yashar That said...I have only Gen Z working with me at @UrbanViewRadio. They were trained in a system that I crafted. They are dope, on point and excellent. Shout out to @IAmSmiz, Alexa, Jonah, Amina, Stephanie (the latter 4 former students of mine). The soil matters.
@yashar When standards are lowered, don't be surprised that performance falls even more. After all, if we'll lower standards once (a form of appeasement) then why wouldn't we keep lowering them?
@yashar This is every generations take on the one suffixing it
