Yes, in a country of 80 million people let’s have the guy who hasn’t lived there for 45 years take over. He even said himself he doesn’t want to. Absolutely delusional that you all think this is possible, that there’s any widespread interest, and that he could even last for more than one day.

@yashar He wants to have a secular gov. Nothing stops him going back to his country and being a symbol even as his dad did nasty things. Not sure how you do it.
@yashar It’s not important what you or I think. It’s important what the people of Iran think. You know what the data from the most widely-accepted Iran polling project out there shows. But in case you “forgot”, here it is. Alternative graph title: “widespread interest.”
@yashar I think it’s symbolic, Pahlavi is the face of the anti-Islamic Republic. 99% of people don’t know anything about Iran, they know they don’t like Mullahs.
@yashar I remember when average Iranian people (in the US) supported Khomeini because the Shah was so terrible. It's ironic to see the reverse. Does Pahlavi have any qualifications at all? Why not get Rfk Jr if you want a famous scion?
@yashar There's that option of Iranian democracy we all wish for...
@yashar Well if the Islamic extremists were out of the picture, he could.
@yashar He’d be too scared to even go back.
@yashar Khomeini was in exile for 15 years and he seemed to do fine.
