Tom Friedman has an understanding of the Middle East that a drunk hedge fund manager who corners you at an Upper East Side cocktail party to share his brilliant thoughts does. Way too many people have told him he’s smart, which has led to columns like this one. nytimes.com/2024/04/16/opi…
@yashar Also, there's no "Iranian" Revolutionary Guards. It's the Islamic Revolutionary Guards. It was an Islamic Revolution, not an Iranian one, in their mind.
What I read in the screenshot is largely correct, even though Iran manages the PIJ (and Hezbollah and the Houthis), Hamas is a proxy of Qatar, supported also by the West. But it is true, Iran would be deflated, if the neutral regional nations would be allowed to operate without Iran and Qatar basically breaking havoc (for the joy of the US, which organises the instability as a tool for domination).
@yashar He does know that Israel has already done all of those things, right?
@yashar Nasrallah would be like “whoa”, and then Sinwar would be like “whoa”
This is an anti-deflation reply: The Mullah Terror Entity that is lynching its own people and the Hamas Entity that is doing the same need to be removed, removed from Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Gaza, removed, made to go away, not permitted into any country, perhaps, shipped off to a man-made island, given supplies, and watched 24/7. Others may have their own ideas.
@yashar I agree with Tom Friedman 100%, and so does Gad Saad.
