She got the niceties of of the way before Mr. Min addressed the crowd. Jimin tuned the words out as best as he could and only started paying attention when Yoongi’s name was mentioned.

“The speech is coming so we just stand still and look pretty.” Jimin whispered back. “Easy for you.” Yoongi smiled and Jimin rolled his eyes just in time for Mrs. Min to get the attention of the guests and start the standard speech.

Jimin didn’t need to turn around to know what Aecha was talking about so he just put on his best smile and seamlessly walked to Yoongi who seemed to be waiting for him, his hand automatically going to Jimin’s waist. “Now what?” Yoongi asked, clearly amused.

“Nervous.” Jimin admitted. “Understandable.” She smiled knowingly. “But you’ll be alright, trust the training.” Aecha rolled her eyes and Jimin giggled. “Now go to your fiancé, your mom’s giving you the eyes.”

“Congratulations.” He hugged her again and she laughed. “Let’s go to dinner soon and we’ll talk about it, no one knows yet.” She said after jimin let her go. “Tonight’s about you, how are you holding up?” She asked, if anyone knew how he felt it was her.

She said making Jimin raise an eyebrow, she put a hand on her flat stomach with a mischievous grin and Jimin’s eyes widened. “Are you serious?” He whispered looking at the smug smile on his brother’s face before turning to Aecha again who nodded.

“Someone has to work, dick.” Despite the harsh words both brothers were smiling with genuine affection, Aecha discreetly rolled her eyes before hugging Jimin. “You’re going to have to tone down your language every time you see each other soon, you know?”

So he smiled a practiced smile and turned to his brother and sister-in-law. “It’s been a while, jerk.” Jimin said mouthing the last part so his mother didn’t hear.

When they got to their parents Jimin’s mother whispered ‘Well done’ in his ear as they greeted each other, they were words he remembered craving and now paled in comparison to the feelings Yoongi’s words and trust had given him.
