about 7 years ago my gf told me that she was gonna break up with me if i didn't wear a bike helmet, 3 strike system. told me she didn't want to be in a relationship with someone where she cared more about them than they cared about themselves.

i didn't really believe her and continued cycling without a helmet, one day she saw and looked me dead in the eye and told me, strike 1. started wearing a helmet. covid happened and i stopped cycling to work etc, forgot about the rule. then started again, helmetless, strike 2.
i still don't really think it'd happen but realised over time that i don't want to be the fool the finds out or disrespects my gf to the point to test her word. and every time i wear my helmet it's a nice reminder of how i need to care about myself because she does.
@yougottasheher She's a keeper. You had to realize that you're worth keeping too.
@yougottasheher This started before Covid and you aren’t married yet? Dating for over 4 years now? I’d be more concerned about losing her because of that
@yougottasheher If she is still just your girlfriend after 7 years....well then that is a whole different story altogether.
@yougottasheher my man. wear the helmet bc YOU want to. not because someone told you to, unless you’re a kid and it’s your parents or guardians telling you to - which looks like not the case. otherwise every time you wear that helmet it’s a nice reminder of a female controlling you, bro.
@yougottasheher Like I tell others, you might not be worried or care about waking up tomorrow but your mother, brother, etc is and would like to see you tomorrow so be careful speeding same applies to their passenger(s). It may not be the people you want to care but it's those that matter
@yougottasheher how many times have you fallen off your bike?
