There's been plenty of debate about what (if anything) "running power" means and is useful for. A new white paper from @strydrunning makes what seems to me to be an important U-turn: it's *metabolic* power, not *mechanical* power, that we care about. outsideonline.com/2419911/runnin…
@pstriathlon Air Power white paper (discussing metabolics) (2019): blog.stryd.com/2019/08/17/add… Power meter comparison test using metabolics: outsideonline.com/2413011/runnin…

@abduncan4 @robbiedxc Thanks for your consideration and reading our response.
@abduncan4 @robbiedxc Most notably: outsideonline.com/2413011/runnin… You can find more here: summit.stryd.com/why-run-with-p…
@abduncan4 @robbiedxc Aubry et al contains a methodological flaw, which leads the authors to an incorrect conclusion. See our breakdown here: blog.stryd.com/2018/12/19/usi…
@abduncan4 @robbiedxc Aubry et al shows Stryd correlates quite well with metabolic expenditure, based on the available data in the paper. I am not aware of any studies that show Stryd does not correlate with metabolic expenditure.
@robbiedxc @aliasjdm I suggest to our check out more academic studies here (summit.stryd.com/why-run-with-p…), in addition to our response to Aubry, et al: blog.stryd.com/2018/12/19/usi…
@jamesradams @robbiedxc @AndyDuBois He does! Coach Dubois did a great webinar on trail running and running power here: youtube.com/watch?v=29UE7k…
@marko_richo @robbiedxc Internal RPE is great and Stryd power calibrates RPE with objective data. They work well in tandem.
@Dr_Elna @robbiedxc Find some academic studies here: summit.stryd.com/why-run-with-p…
@runcamille @robbiedxc One update since you were originally introduced to Stryd: new Stryd can now account for wind and Stryd power targets can be adjusted for heat and humidity: facebook.com/notes/stryd-co…
@robbiedxc Hi Rob. A co-founder of Stryd here. See an interview I did here in Coachmag: coachmag.co.uk/running/8528/r… Let me know if you have any questions.
@aliasjdm @robbiedxc See our manuscript clarification here, as well: journals.lww.com/nsca-jscr/Cita…
@aliasjdm @robbiedxc The data presented in the paper shows the opposite of the stated conclusion: blog.stryd.com/2018/06/18/new…
