I have seen homes in my town for sale drop prices from 700k to 400k in the past six months... Buyers have dried up and with mortgage rates this high they don't seem to be coming back soon Even buyers with large liquidity that don't "need" loans fear deploying big sums currently

Like a plane pulling up too fast, The FED must be very careful about stalling this economy which is losing air speed very rapidly. 2020 rates are dropped to zero (negative real rates for bonds) 2022 rates rocket 500 basis points (faster than ever before on big debt loads)

What's going on is a tightening of the middle class so hard that only a future bailout will be able to keep this system on track, And it will be needed as planned because future inflation is already implied by today's debts plus growth. Print more dollars, that's policy.

The FED has not been able to provide stability to the economy. Its been Hot inflation, and a jolt into deep cooling Inflation eats away savings and giant debts just got a lot more expensive while people's businesses are just starting to enter into lower earnings territory.

Manufacture an economic crisis on purpose? FED's GFC 2.0 hiking rates on a giant debt load MMT leads to hard lefts and sharp rights creating deep recessions and sharp bubble like expansions. Makes the economic landscape very unstable for most participants.

If the goal of an economy is to grow and improve over time, Stimulation of growth acts as a catalyst in that effort. With MMT, organic free market growth is not fast enough, cheap credit is opened to increase production, but it also artificially increases demand.

With hard debt and high revolving credit balances The FED quantitative easing is going to have to turn back on again as the debts outstanding are larger in size than the circulating cash supply, a high inflation rate is our only way out of the large debt.

When the US exports debt overseas, it creates future dollar demand. We export debt & dollars that's why our monetary policies are not only domestic polices but have an effect across the world.
