We are using blueprints of our homes to brainstorm ideas for our first personal narrative of the year. It's so much fun hearing the stories that these little minds have to share about their lives!
We are knocking the dust off of our writing by analyzing sentences from The Dunderheads. First, we wrote down our observations about the sentence. Then, we color coded important parts of speech. We will continue to analyzing this sentence over the next few days.

This year, I hope to help all my friends find a love for reading. This morning, we are trying to build up our stamina by independently ready around the room.
Students are decorating puzzle pieces to express the ways that they contribute to our class. At the end, we will build the puzzle to show the many awesome personalities that create our class family.🤍
Students demonstrated teamwork today by saving Sam, the boating gummy worm! Poor Sam fell out of his boat (plastic cup) and lost his life jacket (peach ring). Students worked to put Sam back into his life jacket and boat. The catch? They couldn't use their hands, only paperclips!
