@Bugcrowd This is a pretty advanced job with high legal risk. It takes real knowledge and resources. Half the programs don’t even offer bounties, and some that do aren’t worth it. Only a few programs on these platforms are actually good. Bugcrowd — tell programs to increase their bounties.
Being able to drop a critical zero-day without catching a federal charge is a luxury built on decades of pushback. As governments and corporations finally realized how hackers could help them, they pushed to create exceptions to laws like the CFAA and DMCA. This paved the way for responsible disclosure policies. Companies started adding "safe harbor" language to protect researchers who report vulns in good faith. Through the work of platforms like Bugcrowd and HackerOne, major tech companies adopted these policies, and eventually governments followed suit. The more we protect and value ethical hackers, the safer everyone gets. 💯
When possible, use several AIs to divide the work. Keep some of it offline — local model or paper. Never trust all your important research and data to one AI that can use it for its own gain. #AI #LocalAI #Privacy #DataOwnership #OpenSourceAI #DontTrustOneAI
@Polymarket Spending on independent white-hat security research needs to rise sharply. Current bug-bounty payouts are often nowhere near the value, difficulty, and risk of critical findings. If companies want serious external security research, they need to fund it seriously.

Anthropic’s security posture sends a mixed message: it publishes sophisticated threat-intelligence on real-world adversaries, yet offers comparatively weak incentives and limited access for independent white-hat researchers. If critical findings are worth only around $20K while researchers absorb the cost of access, tooling, and time, that is not a serious market signal for external security research.
