Like many others in tech we feel like this is a really good time to talk about us and our our feelings. Like some we're excited by the investment opportunity, and the chance to realign working norms. Also, vulnerable people might die, so maybe THAT'S ACTUALLY THE IMPORTANT BIT.

Just an idea. People learn from their bad choices more than from their good ones (consequences). Judge by the intent, not the outcome. Then by the action, not the idea of action. Then the correction, not the failure. It's easy to throw rocks. It's harder to catch them.

You have to chart your triggers. A migraine is not just a headache - you should experience multiple symptoms. That said - eye strain, irregular blood sugar, specific foods, etc. can all be triggers. More people suffer than admit it. Keep a diary. It can help.

How did someone become such an important design lead without understanding design? Design is not internal high-fives, design is human-centred. The line between design and engineering is hard to parse only if you don't understand either one.

buzzfeednews.com/article/scottl… Same thing happened in London and New York. Communities are a mix of people. Value the places where you know your kids' teacher, your green grocer, who delivers your mail, and your neighbourhood dentist (and more). Build value around each other.
