@tim4uangie Buongiorno, posso chiedere un upgrade della mia linea fissa al profilo fibra 10G? Il sito TIM dice che sono coperto.

@ColinTheMathmo @htfb Yeah, I know Adam, and I saw that video. We talked a lot about mixed numbers and the situation here in Italy. Short story: we don't recognize them as numbers that can be involved in operations. Should we use them in operations, we transform them by infixing a "+".

@htfb @ColinTheMathmo I'm italian. We do understand numbers like 9 3/4, we use them but we don't use them for calculations. So, no problems with Harry Potter, but no arithmetics. In order to solve sums like 2 1/2 + 3 1/3, we write 2+1/2+3+1/3. And the expected result is 35/6

@jemmaths @MathsRh @DeronHussey @EmporiumMaths @AQAMaths @OCR_Maths Mh, we call "fractions" numbers like 3/5, normally written with an horizontal line. 3:5 is often seen as an expression, so I think that one should expect 0.6 as an answer.

@MathsRh @DeronHussey @jemmaths @EmporiumMaths @AQAMaths @OCR_Maths I am an italian teacher. Here in Italy 3:5 and 3/5 are the same number; besides, an operation like 4:2=2 is correct.
