I've been asking myself why I’m so drawn to test & measurement and inspection tools. I think the answer is: they extend the perception; telescopes, microscopes, spectrum analyzers, thermal cameras, X-ray scanners. They give you the superpower to see (or measure) the unseen.

"Big building scary" ok bro I've wiped away maggots from the wounds of elderly people whose rat bites got infected. The city made sitting, sleeping, and lying in public illegal so they get cited by the police for not having a place to live. I find that a lot more horrifying.
