The end of an era with the close of the Xbox 360 Marketplace. We value the work being done in preserving the past, while we focus our resources and efforts in building solutions for the future. Digital ownership and P2P marketplaces are replacing classic storefronts.

Today the Xbox 360 Marketplace shuts down for good, taking hundreds of games and DLC off the market, with no legal way to access them. We're working to fix copyright law for game preservation, but for now, we figured a cake wouldn't hurt. 🎂

All game updates will now be posted on DEADROP's official account as we push towards a wider public release. We'll continue to post studio related news and announcements here and repost relevant game posts from there.

If I post clearly unfinished artwork, are you guys going to be cool about it, or are you going to try to make fun of it? If you make fun of it, the artists are going to stop giving me stuff to share. So don't be weird about it, okay?

This is the type of energy I need when giving feedback. THIS. IS. WHY. WE. PLAYTEST. We want you to challenge design, push for what you think is right in the gameplay, and help us refine it to perfection (if perfection is possible).

I'm sorry @12am but no excuse or justification for "speeding things up" will ever mean that this wasn't going to be 100000% better than the list system we have heard about. Going into my bag or looting is a player choice, I get to make it and take the risk.

While the past few weeks have been challenging, we're more confident than ever in our team, our work, and our mission. Our goal for DEADROP remains unchanged: creating a next-gen PvPvE extraction shooter. This week, we enter the Founder Testing stage, marking the start of the final development phase leading to our early access launch in coming months. Stay tuned for more updates on DEADROP in the coming months, and follow @DEADROP for more in-depth updates!

On Friday evening we became aware of an allegation against one of our co-founder’s Guy Beahm aka Dr Disrespect. We assumed his innocence and began speaking with parties involved. And in order to maintain our principles and standards as a studio and individuals, we needed to act. For this reason, we are terminating our relationship with Guy Beahm immediately. While these facts are difficult to hear and even more difficult to accept, it is our duty to act with dignity on behalf of all individuals involved, especially the fifty-five developers and families we have employed along with our community of players.
