The death penalty is barbaric. It is inhumane. It MUST be abolished. I'm heartbroken for Brandon Bernard and his family. He was an 18yo accomplice in a crime that occurred in 1999. The death penalty is ALWAYS wrong but the facts here are exceptionally egregious. #BrandonBernard

Let me just add... even I have said/done things unintentionally in the past that I didn’t know were wrong. I’m sure we all have. What’s important is that we recognize it, educate ourselves, learn from our mistakes, and try to be better.
