Once Canada becomes an Associate member of the EU, if it decides to withdraw from the EU trading bloc which it pays approximately six billion annually for membership fees there is an exit fee. The financial settlement for the United Kingdom's exit was ultimately estimated by HM Treasury to be around £30.2 billion to £42.5 billion paid out gradually over several decades. While direct budgetary payments to the EU budget ended, the UK continues to pay an ongoing "cost of Brexit" in the form of reduced trade, lower gross domestic product (estimated by economists at roughly a 6% hit to the economy), increased customs paperwork and overheads, and lost tax revenues. If the UK ever reverses course and attempts to rejoin the European Union, independent estimates from think tanks like the Bow Group project that annual gross contributions could range from £28 billion to £41 billion per year. The EU Associate membership is nothing more than a trap for Canadian Taxpayers.

What most people already understand, even without the economic terminology, is that firms like BlackRock operate less like investors and more like modern feudal landlords. They buy essential infrastructure,water networks, ports, energy grids, data centres, and other public necessities, often using vast amounts of borrowed money and paying prices that ordinary market participants cannot match. Once the acquisition is complete, the debt is pushed onto the acquired company itself. The result is simple: the public pays. Consumers repay that debt through higher water bills, rising energy prices, increased fees, and declining service quality. The infrastructure becomes a cash-extraction machine. Profits flow upward to shareholders and executives, while the financial burden flows downward to ordinary households. When the model inevitably breaks down, the consequences are socialised. Communities are left with crumbling infrastructure, polluted rivers and failing services. Thames Water's £14 billion debt mountain and repeated sewage scandals are a stark example of what happens when financial engineering takes precedence over public stewardship. The executives who loaded the company with debt have already collected their bonuses. The investors have already taken their returns. And when the system finally reaches its breaking point, taxpayers are expected to pick up the bill. Privatise the gains. Socialise the losses. That is the business model......

HYPOTHETICALLY… IF I BOUGHT MY HOUSE FOR $125,000 IN 2002 AND THE COUNTY NOW SAYS IT’S WORTH $487,000, WHERE DID I ACTUALLY MAKE $362,000? Did I sell it? No. Did I receive $362,000? No. Did somebody hand me a check for the new assessed value? Obviously not. But my property taxes still go up because, on paper, my house is suddenly worth hundreds of thousands more. That’s the part that doesn’t make sense to me. This isn’t income. It isn’t cash sitting in my bank account. It’s a number someone assigned to my property, and now I’m being billed based on that number. If my stock portfolio doubles but I don’t sell, I haven’t turned that gain into cash. If my salary stays the same, I don’t suddenly owe more income tax because someone thinks I’m worth more. So why does owning a home work differently? WHY AM I PAYING TAX ON A GAIN I NEVER REALIZED? A house isn’t just an investment. It’s where people live. You can pay off the mortgage, own the property outright, and still face a bigger bill every year because the value of the house went up on paper. At some point, you have to ask what “owning” something actually means if the cost of keeping it can keep rising because of money you never received. THIS ISN’T ABOUT WHETHER THE HOUSE IS “WORTH” MORE. IT’S ABOUT BEING CHARGED FOR VALUE YOU NEVER TURNED INTO CASH. And people are starting to notice.

This joining the E.U. psyop (i.e. manufactured consent) being pumped into the minds of Canadians is insane. A thread. Europe is crumbling economically and politically. This is because of the same policy set (and people?) that have caused the worst economic stagnation in Canada in a generation. Naive 'Green' energy policy has gutted its industrial base; the insatiable leviathan of public spending; and a regulatory boa constrictor that protects incumbents and crushes entrepreneurial spirit and, yes, mass immigration. Germany, Europe's most important economy, is hemorrhaging jobs. For 17 months and counting, employment has shrunk.

It is a bit disorienting that during the Trudeau years, the mantra was that Canada’s core identity was essentially Indigenous, and it was critical to decolonize, and decenter Eurocentric ways of knowing. And now we have Carney, who’s like, no, Canada is basically European.

Those scary 200%–300% dairy tariffs are over-quota rates, not a blanket tax on every gallon of American milk, pound of butter or block of cheese entering Canada. The U.S. has negotiated tariff-rate quota access under CUSMA — the agreement President Trump himself signed. And despite all this supposed Canadian “mistreatment,” the United States has historically run a dairy trade surplus with Canada. If Washington believes Canada is administering those quotas unfairly, negotiate that issue. There is a legitimate discussion to have there. But blowing up integrated auto, agricultural, energy and manufacturing supply chains and then calling it “reciprocity” is something very different. And the China argument needs evidence. Canada’s supply-management barriers are not simply waived for China while Americans face 300% tariffs. Canada operates tariff-rate quotas across its dairy system, with access varying under specific trade agreements. We can absolutely talk about fair trade. Honey. Hey honey. We have 15,430 beekeepers in Canada. We export about $60 million of honey a year, $40 million of that to the USA. That honey now has a 50% tariff and our farmers are going to have a tough time selling it. Canada imports a lot of honey, about $73 million of it. Some of it isn’t even real honey (seriously it’s faked with rice and cane syrups eww). Check the labels. As a country we are spending $73 million on imported honey and looking at loosing $40 million in exported honey to the USA. It’s kinda simple math. Buy Canadian honey. Little things from many people will make a difference.

Just the Chapman family saying: "The least we can do is make sure Canadians still have the means to buy ice cream." That's what Canadian pride looks like.
