How far can you get from #daventry in a day by train? Well in our case about 600 miles to Switzerland! We travelled from Rugby to London, London to Paris, negotiated the Paris metro, and then high speed Paris to Zurich. Thanks to @LNRailway @Eurostar @SNCFConnect @Interrail

Thanks to @AvantiWestCoast for a free 1st class ticket to anywhere on their network (via their Club Avanti reward programme), my son and I are now en route to a long weekend in Edinburgh. All the Avanti staff have been super helpful and the train is running on time!

Just over an hour and a half queue for @Tesco Xmas delivery but still plenty of timeslots left when I got through (plus showered,dressed, drove to the station and part way to London on @WestMidRailway in that time) #tesco #deliverysaver #xmasdeliveryslots

Went to renew my driving licence at the post office today and they said payment had to be made by cheque. I haven’t written a cheque for at least 5, maybe 10 years (can’t renew online as my passport has expired). Apparently no way to pay by card! #getwiththetimes @DVLAgovuk
