Just in time to catch the roasters in action @EquatorCoffee! This roaster works hard pumping out nearly 2500 Kgs of locally roasted, @FairtradeCanada organic coffee per week!!!

The @9212Blog students spent the am learning about coffee with @EquatorCoffee co-founder Amber. Did you know it is the worlds second largest commodity? Coffee farmers typically see about $1 per retail bag, while Fair Trade farmers see more than double that!

Privileged to hear Mr. John Tam during our tour of @EquatorCoffee this am. He is the director of @schoolBOXhelps, a local charity that makes education possible for young people in Nicaragua. Incredible to hear about the difference they make with community partners like Equator.

Wrapped up our incredible morning tour of @EquatorCoffee with what @FrankBelair said was the absolute best hot chocolate he had ever consumed. Students and @mr_dauncey all seemed to be in agreement. The barista tells me the secret ingredient is caramel! @schoolBOXhelps
