Today is the last day of #NSAW2024 and the 14th anniversary of the National Stalking Helpline! @TalkingStalking is here on 0808 802 0300 to offer practical advice to victims to increase their safety and allow them to make informed choices.
This victim’s stalking advocate helped both her emotional wellbeing and the progress of her case. Stalking advocates are a crucial part of the multi-agency response to stalking. #NSAW2024 #JoinForcesAgainstStalking

12 police forces who replied to our #NSAW2024 FOI stated that they had 0 dedicated stalking officers. It is crucial that officers dealing with stalking receive specialist stalking training so that stalking behaviours are recognised early, & victims don’t fall through the gaps.
Victims of stalking can find it extremely difficult to come forward about their experiences. Many fear that they won’t be believed, as was the case for this victim. #JoinForcesAgainstStalking this #NSAW2024 to ensure that all victims get the support they need.
