For those who don't fully understand what is up with the NHS, here is a thread for you that might help. I'm a consultant physician working as a doctor in the NHS in Yorkshire and Wales for 32 years now. I have experienced the NHS at its best (2008) and its worst (2022).

A medal is lovely. But I’d prefer it if we didn’t have to pay £20 after loosing our ID badge in a cardiac arrest, weren’t turned a way from the canteen when wearing scrubs on call, or not have to pay £100s for a parking permit but be ‘not guaranteed a space’.

My wife Lola will be selling her crocheted dolls in the precinct this Saturday, all proceeds to the drop-in-centre. For God's sake buy one, she's made 600 of the bloody things. They're all over the house. Every time I open the airing cupboard it's like being attacked by Chucky.

I think most of the TV media missed that the young man reciting JFK in the "Celebrating America" special was Brayden Harrington, who was featured during the DNC Convention after Joe Biden helped him with his serious stutter. Maybe they missed it because he was flawless now.

Yep - as a speech & language therapist I only learnt what a fronted adverbial was while observing a year 4 class, not in my degree (which included a linguistics module) 😆
