The people of Venezuela are great people, strong people and have been through decades of hell. President Trump did the impossible by ousting Maduro. You cannot transform a country overnight. The oil deals he’s arranging will greatly benefit the American people and, from the way the State Department describes it, the people of Venezuela too. You cannot take a country with an apparatus like that and change it overnight. If you rush things, it will collapse and they’ll be back to square one. Trump is doing what no one else could have pulled off.
