Prayer is not just a cry for help but a bold act of laying his burdens before God. Nehemiah casts his cares on the Lord, who sustains him (Ps 55:22; 1 Peter 5:7). He understands that the battle ultimately belongs to the Lord (Exodus 14:14).

When faced with opposition, our first action should be prayer. Opposition may come from all sides, true strength comes from God.

Nehemiah doesn’t cave under pressure—he prays. Rather than giving in to intimidation, he turns to God, asking for strength: “‘O God, strengthen my hands!’” (Nehemiah 6:9). Prayer is Nehemiah’s constant response. What's yours?

“I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” - Nehemiah 6:3 How you view your work matters. If God has called you to it, it’s a good work.

Christianity is simultaneously the most inclusive and exclusive religion in the entire world. Inclusive in that ANYONE can be saved. Exclusive in that there is ONLY one way. To try to make Christianity sound otherwise is foolish.
