Markets ripped higher today and most people are already chasing. Dow +0.7%, $SPY +0.6%, Nasdaq +1.1%. SpaceX earnings lit up the AI trade again. Oil’s still elevated and the Fed isn’t cutting anytime soon — none of that stopped the bid. $SMCI ripped hard on the guidance raise. I called it lower and I’m still holding. Not adding more here. Current watchlist: $NVDA $TSLA $META $SMCI $SPCX These are the ones I’m tracking into earnings. Not buying everything at once. Lesson from today: strength can keep going even when macro looks messy. Doesn’t mean you have to buy the top. Are you adding into this strength or waiting for a pullback?

@Axel202412 Long-term positions get the most size. Win rate is higher there. Short-term and swings get messy with emotions. For retail, I’d rather they put most of their money in the long-term setups and keep the short-term stuff small.

I think the same way. Waiting for confirmation doesn’t mean you miss the move. It means you stop forcing entries on hope. $QQQ and $SPY have both given multiple clean pullbacks this year. The ones who waited for the higher low usually did better than the ones who bought the first bounce. You pay a little more for confirmation. You also stop getting shaken out every time it dips.

Once a trend is confirmed, I usually hold the position. That’s the long-term approach — clean entry and discipline. Short-term is different. Swing trading only needs a few days to a couple of weeks.For $SPY or $QQQ, I look for a pullback into a clear support or prior breakout zone. Once it holds and starts turning up, I buy. Target is usually the next resistance or a measured move, and I trail the stop as it goes.I don’t need a perfect bottom.

That approach won’t make you money. You’re just guessing and getting pushed around by the market. The green boxes on the $SPY chart are the areas where you wait for confirmation. Once price breaks out of those zones, the small pullback is your entry. When MACD also crosses back above zero, that’s usually the start of a real trend you can actually hold instead of flipping in and out.

$NVDA ’s expanding the Isaac platform and putting real weight behind humanoid robots. New frameworks, better simulation tools, multi-GPU training, and a big library of assets and motion data. They’re making it easier for companies to build and deploy actual robots. I’m watching how $NVDA is positioning itself here. Robot names going on the watchlist: $TSLA, $RR, $SERV, $SYM . If something sets up cleanly, we’ll do a call. Fed’s still holding rates high and oil’s bouncing, but this robotics push looks like it’s going to keep attracting capital either way.

AI is ripping again and $SPCX leading feels good to see. But don’t chase it here. The best move was already being in it well before the gap. Data shows most people who buy the open on strength end up with low win rates. I’d rather buy the pullback and sell once the top looks confirmed. That’s the process. You will get your next opportunity. I flagged this early so you could see it. This is what we do.
