@dfds_ukire Thank you. I think we are stuck in one of the lanes they are trying to close at customs. It is CHAOS!

@DFDSLiveUpdates Any update on the delays at boarder control at Dover? It looks like we are going to miss our ferry despite being here nearly 2 hours early! We have a very grumpy 2 year old in the car too!

@BBC_HaveYourSay just as life felt like there was some normality- we're moving backwards already and the gov are ignoring the vulnerable mothers and #lockdownbabies still! #maternitypetition

I've been incredibly lucky to have a Doctor on call (my sister) for any baby worries. However, know so many Mums that have felt abandonded because the #Conservatives haven't felt #lockdownbabies to be a priority for funding. #maternitypetition @scullyp @BorisJohnson @MattWestern_

Will today be the day the government finally considers the needs of new parents and responds to the #maternitypetition? The deadline is only a few days away, is this going to be another occasion where the @Conservatives leave it to the last minute @scullyp? #ExcludedUK

Post Natal Depression is clearly not longer a thing because our babies were born during a global pandemic, mums are being told “everyone is having a hard time” and asked “are you over it yet” this infuriates next #MaternityPetition

I shall forever remember the way the government have treated pregnant women and new parents during the #COVID19 pandemic #ExcludedUK from any meaningful support but it’s not too late to help! #maternitypetition #wearenotgoingaway @BorisJohnson @RishiSunak @scullyp @beisgovuk

@HoCpetitions @GOVUK have taken no notice on the urgency. Thousands have had to take unpaid leave or quit their jobs due to childcare issues and lack of mental health support. I think it’s absolutely disgusting the way pregnant women and new parents have been #ExcludedUK #maternitypetition

My last maternity pay was on 25th July. It was less than £600. Since then, I've had nothing. Genuinely, what does the government expect parents on maternity/paternity to do? #maternitypetition #ExcludedUK

Until recently my childcare was illegal as it was through relatives. I couldn't work. I had to make the decision to extend my Maternity into the unpaid portion at that point, as we have to legally give 8 weeks notice. I had no other option. #maternitypetition #ExcludedUK

Why does the gov think it's ok to leave new parents with no support? No income. Why are they leaving us waiting until the last possible second to see if they will offer anything at all. Including even having updated maternity info for employers. #maternitypetition #ExcludedUK
